One way I want to kickstart the Eric Zamora Photography blog is to offer a 20 percent discount on a themed photo package. The theme for May 2015 is my multi-day trek through the Boulder White Clouds in Idaho during the height of fall color. This was a very personal journey for me because it followed the passing of my father. I was in Idaho photographing the Boulder-White Clouds when I received the news of my father’s passing. I immediately flew home to Florida to spend time with family and take care of my personal affairs. I returned to the Boulder-White Clouds in late September. Winter storms were starting to roll through the mountains and fall colors were at their peak. At the time I wasn’t married. If something like that happened today I would seek solace within the loving arms of my wife. But back then the mountains – and the silence they provided – were what I longed for. So I prepared for what was at that time the longest hike of my life. I packed enough food for 21 days in the wilderness. It was perhaps the most lucrative photographic experience of my life. Pop must’ve been there to help give me the best light and the best moments. These four photographs are some of the many that came from this epic trek.
